The banding tools are used to strap stainless steel bands and seal objects. Choose the size of the banding tool that is suitable for your project, then bundle stainless steel tie banding in a fixed place and use the band tensioning tool to tie it up tightly.
Below, I will introduce you to several banding tools in detail.
Standard Banding Tool
The standard banding tool can tension up to 2400 lbs, and accommodate 1/4″ to 3/4′ wide strapping with band thicknesses of .020″ to .030″. The tool weighs 4 lbs, is 10″ long, and has an arm length of 5″.
Manual Banding Tool Installation Steps
- Cut a certain length of stainless steel cable tie and Insert one end of the strapping into straight leg sign mounting bracket.
- Insert the same end into the wing buckle.
- Tie the strapping around the pole and pass the other end of the strapping through the buckle and bend it back so that the strapping is secure.
- Tighten the strapping down with the banding tool.
- Bend the strapping with the tool to hold the tension and use the cutter to cut off the excess strapping.
Bantam Banding Tool

Ratchet Banding Tool
Ratchet Banding Tool is a heavy duty forged steel banding tool that can be used on bandwidths of 1/4” to 3/4” and thickness up to 0.03” (0.76mm).
Application of Band & Buckle with Ratchet Banding Tool
- Cut a section of stainless steel tape from the stainless steel roll and put the stainless steel buckle on one end of the stainless steel tape, about 5cm from the head of the stainless steel tape.
- Install the buckle and thread the band through the buckle.
- Clamping a stainless steel strap with the bracket strapping tool, and swinging the banding tool arms to pull the stainless steel strap tightly in the right way.
- After reaching the tension point, fold the tool over to create the lock and cut off the stainless steel strap.
