Determine the outer diameter of the fiber optic cable ( Understand the cable diameter and choose the right plastic drop clamp to make your work more comfortable) – The diameter of common drop cables is generally 2.0×3.0mm, and the diameter of reinforced cables is 2.0×5.0mm. The diameter of common indoor FTTH cables is generally 3.0mm, and the diameter of reinforced cables is 4.0mm.
Check the construction environment – wear a safety helmet, non-slip gloves and a safety belt when working, and avoid working in rainy or humid weather to ensure your safety.
Materials – One set of nonmetallic fiber wedge clamp and one electrical cross arm.
Installation Steps
Step1: Hang the corner of the clamp on the post or front bracket and lock the handle.
Step2: Place the flat optical cable in the throat of the clamp body.
Step3: Position the spacer on the cable into the body,bossing to the cable side.
Step4: Slide the body along the cable until the corner is inserted into the body and hooks on the cable.
Step 5: Use cable ties to tie the remaining cables at the entrance or in a hidden place, or use a fiber storage snowshoe system to store the remaining cables.
At this point, a safe, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant FTTH fiber optic cable has been installed. The entire installation process requires no bolts, nuts, or torque wrenches, achieving truly tool-free and quick installation.
